Strengthening Business provides access to experts who'll work with you to make your business stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the future. They'll work with you to develop a roadmap, and strengthen your business systems, operations and strategies. Additionally they'll connect you to services you need to achieve your business goals.

Access to a local, independent business expert, who'll develop a roadmap to strengthen and grow your business.
Who is this for?
Businesses impacted by the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires in one of 32 identified local government areas in NSW, SA and VIC.
How long is this service for?
You'll get assistance for your business for as long as you need support, through to the closure of the service in 30 June 2022.
Overview
The Strengthening Business service from the Entrepreneurs' Programme will help your business recover from the effects of the 2019-20 bushfires.
At no cost to you, you'll have access to a dedicated facilitator who:
- is a local, independent expert
- understands your region
- can advise on what it takes to run a successful business in your region
They'll work with you to develop a roadmap to navigate the challenges and opportunities your business now faces in the community. You'll get a documented plan with strategies and goals to achieve in the immediate, medium and long-term.
To help achieve these goals they can offer access to:
- extensive networks
- national information
- resources
- strategies
- specialists unique to your business needs
Your facilitator will also be able to provide information about possible funding to help with your recovery.
With this help from your facilitator your business will be stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the future.
Eligibility
What are the eligibility criteria?
To be eligible for our service you must:
- be a bushfire affected small business
- be located in one of the bushfire-affected LGAs in New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria
- have a current Australian business number (ABN)
You must also have been engaged in carrying on your business at the time of the bushfire, which is defined differently by each of the 3 states:
- New South Wales is between August 2019 and February 2020
- South Australia is between November 2019 and February 2020
- Victoria is between November 2019 and February 2020
